A Timeless TED Talk

When first getting my teeth sunk into blockchain technologies and their capabilities I found it hard sometimes to find solid information that was available to the public, bearing in mind this was back in 2012/13. At the time I had just learned about bitcoin and its use cases and was trying to explain to friends and family what it can bring to our futures. I found various different forums to research more on exactly how blockchain interoperability was key in the future of a decentralized level playing field. As with many people in my situation during this time I began to look towards the future and what was being built and how blockchain technology was being utilized. People like Vitalik Buterin, Charles Hoskinson, Gavin Wood and many other figure heads within the industry.

One of the key turning points for me focusing onto blockchain technology and its capabilities for improving our planet from an environmental stand point, came after watching a TED talk from the Cardano Founder Charles Hoskins. I have outlined the link below to a video on youtube with his talk from back in 2014. 

The above link has been very useful in describing in a simple manner the basic fundamentals of blockchain technology, how it works and its applications. As always it can be a very confusing world out there and ensuring you gain awareness to these technologies will gain great benefit to you personally in a number of ways. I am a huge fan of The Cardano Foundation which is at the forefront of engaging an international audience on the powers that can be utilized from these amazing applications. Charles is highly educated on this matter and why try to explain things when the experts have provided this great TED talk. I hope you can find 20 minutes to watch.
